IN2 recently selected CEL and four other companies to participate in its tenth cohort. This is the program's first cohort to focus on demonstration projects.
The Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2) is a technology incubator and platform funded by the Wells Fargo Foundation and co-administered by the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Its mission is to work toward a low-carbon future by advancing clean and sustainable technologies on their paths to market. Since 2014, the incubator has provided a proven and risk-reduced opportunity for corporate and investor engagement.
IN2 recently announced the program’s tenth cohort, and the first cohort to focus on demonstration projects. CEL is proud to be named among this group of innovative companies.
This cohort consists of five companies ready to demonstrate building and mobility technologies with industry partners across the country. These companies will also prove out their economic viability, low carbon capabilities, and positive social impacts.
As a cohort member, CEL will receive up to $250,000 in non-dilutive funding to support infrastructure for the project as well as technical guidance from the world-class researchers at NREL. NREL's researchers will also help prepare, validate, or analyze the demonstration projects. CEL and fellow cohort members will also benefit from a robust IN2 cleantech ecosystem that includes industry experts, investors, and a nationwide Channel Partner network of more than 60 cleantech incubators, accelerators, and university programs.
