CEL, in partnership with Bonneville Environmental Foundation and Hoquiam School District, will host a Smart & Resilient Schools Summit. The SRS Summit will be held in Hoquiam, WA on April 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Just in time for Earth Month, CEL and partners will host another Smart & Resilient Schools (SRS) Summit on April 27! Offered in collaboration with Bonneville Environmental Foundation and Hoquiam School District, the SRS summit will focus on increasing the sustainability and resilience of schools. The summit builds on the success of a similar summit in Tacoma in 2022.
This is more than just a workshop; it's a community coming together to create viable solutions for greener schools, affordable energy, and healthier spaces for communities. Participants will leave with an understanding of the technologies, policies, programs, and practices that will prepare communities to address increasing resiliency needs and upcoming changes in building energy codes.
What's in store for the SRS Summit?
🏫 Students and the public can be a student for a day! Engage with colleagues and community members to better understand how community leaders in Washington state and elsewhere are finding innovative ways to leverage incentives and technology in order to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, save money and create jobs.
